REVIVE

This Sunday morning we will be starting a brand new sermons series called “REVIVE.” My heart’s cry to God has been for revival to take place in the church and for an awakening to break out in the community. It seems that finally, Cleary is poised to experience a measure of revival…at least that is my hope and prayer.

This Sunday, September 13, there will be an overview of God’s recipe for revival based on 2 Chronicles 7:14. Then we are going to spend three weeks focused on each of the ingredients we discover Sunday. The schedule for the series (which is subject to change due to the leading of the Holy Spirit) is as follows…

September 13—The Recipe for Revival, 2 Chronicles 7:14
September 20-October 4—Possessing the Faith…If my people who are called by my name (2 Chronicles 7:14a).
October 11-October 25—Praying in Faith…will humble themselves and pray (2 Chronicles 7:14b).
November 1-November 15—Pursuit in Faith…and seek my face (2 Chronicles 7:14c).
November 22-December 6—Purity through Faith…and turn from their wicked ways (2 Chronicles 7:14d).

We are going to do our best to get each ingredient right in God’s recipe for revival in hope and faith that he will indeed revive his people (Ps 85:6).

Also, beginning tomorrow night, Wednesday, Sep 9th in the worship center we are going to introduce a new agenda on Wednesday’s. For a season, we are going to focus our attention as a church on revival and spending our prayer time crying out to God for revival. This emphasis will continue until mid-December.

What can you do to help see revival?

1. You can begin now praying for revival to come to Cleary.
2. You can forward this email to everyone in your inbox that is hungry for revival.
3. You can begin now inviting others to come be a part of “Revive.”
4. You can bring the lost and unchurched with you to Cleary on September 20, September 27, and October 4 as we focus on what it really means to possess the faith, not just profess the faith.

SPREAD THE WORD! The ball is in your court!
